Strange things are happening here on dA, watch out and be kind, because pageviews may mysteriously disappear!



The other day, I tripped over a cable, which caused
my external harddrive to crash onto the floor.

Dead.

Fortunately, I had bought a laptop a week before,
and had just uploaded all pictures from my
external harddrive to my laptop.



The rest of my files are gone though.
Everything I created over the last 6 years was on it.
I've tried many times to make back-ups, but somehow
my desktop burner refused to burn. And even worse,
when I tried to make a back-up on my laptop,
the dvd burner started rattling like hell, shut down,
and it took me tree turns to reboot.

The laptop is one week old. Way to go Dell.


Next week, a friend from Italy will be staying
with me, and we will finally be seeing
anathema in concert again.

We tend to think a bad start of the day will inevitably lead to a bad continuation of the day.

I propose this thought is in need of some reexamination.

I woke up, some 30 minutes ago, by the fierce and terribly loud noise of our doorbell that went berzerk. I can only imagine that someone, at some earlier point this morning, must have pushed that bell, but I have no idea who, why and how long ago.

It is impossible to wake me. Even at ten in the morning.



So, being deafened by the bell, I couldn't possibly go back to bed, and what I found instead, was a surprise indeed! A DD for one of my old works, "Duality", suggested by *IzNoGooD and given by ^rhapsouldize. Thank you!



I hope this means I haven't already used my portion of luck for the day, since I have a job interview to become a copywriter, later this day, and I really would like that job!

By the way: I am setting up a community (it is probably going to be fragile-dreams.net) for dark art and dark music inspired art. It will be a merger of some of my previous sites (anathema inspired art, lacrimosa and samael inspired art) and features and interviews with some of my favorite (dark) artists.

It will include photography, illustration, but also music and film (any ideas are welcome).

This is an experiment, since my hands always itch to create sites in photoshop and notepad. [link]

I will make the actual site in Joomla!, because it is easier to maintain. Over the next weeks, I will be inviting some artists to feature (the example you see on the site, for instance).

I'll let you know more about it when I finish it.
